How it all started…

Back in 2019, the team at Mentawai SUrf Retreat identified that their female guests didn’t always want to mix it up with other surfer dudes, and that they sometimes wanted to surf with other like-minded girls, and just have a good girlie surf adventure, a different kind of surf trip, so to speak.
With the funnest wave in all of Mentawai right in front of the resort and your bungalow, a solid experienced team, and a yoga deck to die for, Mentawai SUrf Retreat is a natural solution for the female surf Traveler.
And so, in 2020, the Mali Mai Escape was born
